Colin is a highly skilled and sought-after specialist in developing qualifications, competency standards and assessment solutions.  He successfully tailors competency, assessment, and educational programmes to mitigate risk, maintain consistency, and achieve desirable outcomes for Skills International’s clients while ensuring industry relevance.

Colin is a New Zealand Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Life Underwriter and Associate of the Australasian Compliance Institute, with extensive experience across the financial services industry. A wearer of many hats, Colin also has expertise across a broad range of vocational sectors including plumbing, electrical, gasfitting and drainlaying. 

Colin joined Skills International in 2010 as a key member of the project delivering a competency regime to meet the requirements of New Zealand’s financial services regulator.  He has subsequently applied these skills in the development of qualifications and competency standards across multiple industry sectors both within New Zealand and internationally.

Based in New Zealand, he is experienced in working in many international markets from the Middle East to the Pacific and always takes the time to ensure his solutions are designed for the context in which they will be implemented.

Colin has a high standard of project management skills which ensure the effective, on-time and on-budget delivery of his projects.
